Actividades Extra Curriculares

En nuestras Instituciones escolares tambien motivamos a los estudiantes a participar en actividades extracurriculares con la finalidad de que aprendar a desarrollarse en publico ademas de brindarles la oportunidad de poner en practica los valores ensenados en el proceso educativo
En los videos se pueden presenciar algunos estudiantes y sus participaciones artisticas en la celebracion del dia de la madre , que en el Salvador es festejado el 10 de Mayo de cada ano
Ellos son los artifices de brindar a sus progenitoras un momento de esparcimiento aunn cuando ellas estan muchas veces lejos d e sus hogares
Disfruten y bendiciones a cada una de las mujeres salvadorenas

Funny cook

Learn to cook and learn English both of them activities are possible when we use our creativity and love.

In our culture most of the time are woman who all the time are cooking for everybody and the mothers teaches to cook their daughters but their boys only wait until their sisters put the food in front of them .

I wanted to my students learned about count and no count nouns and at the same time I wanted to my students cooked, I thought if my students cook in their home and describe their recipe in front of a video camera, they will be learning English and to cook at the same time and will be funny for them

After that I make little groups , be directions and there are the final results.

Enjoys everybody, there are only a few videos but I see all of them in English class.

Real Experiences

Teach English by means of real material is funny and let at the students learn by means of the experience

You can use this thecnic and adapt other transversal lines like Moral education, Healthy habits or other themes that help them practice an integral education for example in this class my students were learning about foods. We used real food like fruits, vegetables, drinks, and many others foods. After that my students practiced some dialogues to learns ask foods and finally all of them share the foods

Diferencias Culturales

En las fotografías y en los vídeos pueden observarse algunas de las actividades desarrolladas en la clase de Estudios Sociales para el tema "Diferencias Culturales".
En esta actividad mis estudiantes imaginaron estar en una fiesta donde deberían de hablar con personas nuevas que viene de países diversos y con diferente cultura. Para ello cada uno de los estudiantes tiene una tarjeta de color con un papel o rol a desempenar
Algunos roles a desempenar fueron:
1- Nunca miras a los ojos a las personas cuando hablas
2-No te gusta hablar con nadie que este demasiado cerca
3- Repites muchas veces lo que dices
4- Eres muy silencioso y serio
5- Hablas muy alto
6- No te gusta hablar mucho de tu vida personal
7- Haces muchas preguntas
8- Te acercas mucho al hablar
9- Te gusta tocar a las personas con la que hablas
10- Te ríes mucho y eres ruidoso
11- Miras fijamente a los ojos cuando hablas
12-Habas muy bajo

Al finalizar el Rol Play los estudiantes comentaron como se sintieron y cosas curiosas que ocurrieron durante la actividad, descubrieron que todas las personas somos diferentes y que debemos de respetar esa individualidades, además que lo que para algunos en algunos países o cultura diferente parece bueno , para otras culturas puede parecer de mal gusto o mala educacion o viceversa

All About Me

When I was in Palo Alto College last year (2008) , I studied with excellent teachers and I learned different kinds of methodologies and techniques.
In Social Studies Dr. Herberth taught us about how the students would learn to appreciate themselves by means of understanding their own strengths and talents; and I'm adapting this activity in my English class in the topic " All About Me". In addition to English my students are learning about themselves and recognizing their abilities.
They enjoyed the activity . They shared and brought their own materials(paper, poster paint,markers,etc.)and then drew and painted their silhouettes and wrote qualities that they want to have in the future

My Birthday

The last week, was my Birthday. I received a beautiful surprise in the school my student did a party to me.

They shared with me all their love, hamburgers, sodas, cake and some gift.

A thanks for everybody was really an special celebration.
